I am a 36 waist in pants, and originally ordered a 38 belt since it's standard to add 2" to your waist when sizing belts. The 38 fit me fine but without much room to spare, and the end of strap barely made it to the first belt loop of my pants. The 40 size looks a bit more balanced (Posted on 7/31/2026)
